Recorded in Madison at Sleepless Nights Studio, this was my personal favorite line up for the band. Personal and creative differences within the band resulted in me on vocals, Jay Austin on vocals and bass, Roger Benter and Derek Davison on guitar and Adam Maltby on drums. The music had turned more complex and much heavier and we kind of flew over many peoples' heads but we had a blast. We attempted recording one more time after this but never finished it. This officially never had a title but became known as the "Beyond Redemption " tape.
1. Commencing Regression
2. Through a wide Eyed Stare
3. Beyond Redemption

was beyond redemption the one recorded in my basement or was that the unfinished one?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that's you John-"Beyond Redemption" was recorded at Sleepless before we jammed at your place. We tried recording in your basement with Mark Berchet(hardknocks records) but gave it up almost immediately as it became obvious we were too complex for his methods. We recorded several hours at Sleepless again but the band disintegrated before we finished-I still have the DAT tapes sitting there unfinished. It sucks because some of those tunes were turning out AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteyes sir, this is john. thats too bad. you had a good sound going back then. im amazed we didnt have the cops out there. I'd come home from work and hear you guys before i shut the bike off. i am amazed my kids could sleep through it. as a side note, micheal (my son) is in a band in elgin il. hes a singer/bassist. their kids (17-18) but they got grand plans....(to be a teenager again. lol)
